Ferry boat to Food

OK so we have gone to Kingston many times but haven’t been in a few years and every time we stay close to where we get off the boat. We always ate at Drifters which was ok but not the best but we didn’t have a lot of options since we needed something the kids would eat and wasn’t super expensive. So this time we researched it a little more and my Father in Law said that the Grub Hut got good reviews and was the right price range. So we walked a little bit more and we found there were more options up that way , good to know for next time. So we got to the Grub Hut a nice place and good food. Most of us got Cheese burgers and the kids both got Hot dogs.  I loved that you could get different sides like potato salad or coleslaw with your burger it is nice to have a change from the traditional burger and fries. Next we walked down to Mora Iced Creamry a tradition every time we go to Kingston. Payton got Dark Chocolate mint but I think it may have been strong for her , Logan got chocolate , Kevin got Bob’s Peppermint ( it is really good ) and I got Irish Coffee. It is a nice treat and it is something special we get to do when we go on a Ferry boat ride.

It was a great trip and the kids had so much fun we can’t wait to go on another Ferry boat ride adventure.

Ferry boat to Fun

Saturday we rode the from Edmond's to Kingston, the kids were so excited because they have been wanting to do it for a few years. They love riding on the ferry boat and walking around with Grandma V. We played on the beach for a little bit while we wait for Grandma and grandpa to arrive and then rushed to get on the ferry.

After we got to Kingston we walked over to the beach and the kids played in the sand. They drew lines in the sand with sticks, they found a tiny crab and lots of shells that they buried and marked with an X and had grandma find the treasure.

Next we walked up to a park I had been to when I was pregnant with Payton and the school I worked for took the kids on a ferry boat ride. The kids had fun running an playing for a little bit

A Day out with Thomas 2014

Saturday Morning we went to A Day out with Thomas, we have been going for the past 3 years and the kids love it! This year the train was a little late but it was worth the wait. We got on a train that was being refinished and it was beautiful even though it wasn’t done. We were in first car so when we got to the fall we got to go farther out then the other cars. There is a beautiful view of the river below. It is always a scary at the end when you can see out the window to the water down below

Waving to Thomas as he passed by on his way back. They loved that Thomas moved his eyes again this year and he talked!  They can’t wait until next year !
