Staying cool

The past few weeks we have had some warmer weather and when it get hot we sure know how to cool down. They went in with swimsuits and clothes when you need to cool down it doesn’t matter what you wear.  I heard squeals of delight when I turned on the sprinkler for Payton and Logan to run through and cool off in. They love to hit the  water , drink it, run from it  and just get totally soaked from spray. It was the perfect way to cool down and it watered the plants at the same time. These are a few of my favorite sprinkler pictures.
The first few times we used a sprinkler that just sprayed then we moved to one that oscillated and they like that one even better.


Payton loved running through and trying to beat the sprinkler so it did get her but her favorite thing was standing in it and letting it soak her – she would scream and laugh it was so fun to watch. Logan would mimic her and scream too which he thought was great fun.
Logan learned to drink from the sprinkler , he had a lot of fun doing it.

Marina Beach Park

A few weeks ago we went with my mom to Marina Beach Park in Edmonds. It was a super fun park with a great play ground but also a beach to play at , shells to collect and so many other things to do. Logan loved watching boats and planes and trains too. They loved digging in the sand and walking on the drift wood. We had a snack and a seagull few up and snatched it from Payton’s hand. Later as we were leaving the same seagull swooped down at me and tried to get Logan’s cheese , it was relentless.


We had a great time even with crazy seagulls that tried to get our food. Next time we want to try to fly a kite with Grandpa.
