Logan’s first Seahawks game

013
Go Seahawks!

Sunday October 30th we took Logan to his first Seahawks game.He loved watching the player come on to the field , the singing of the national anthems ( Canada and US since it was Canada day) and even the raising of the 12 man flag but not long into the game he got tired and hungry. He slept through part of the first half but I think it was to loud for him and he just needed to move. So I took him out and walked with him until he feel asleep at Half time. The Sea Gals did a special dance performance for Halloween and Payton loved it! During the game she was cheering for the Sea Gals for a little while – I think with a game like that I would too. She had a great time at the game and loves to watch the Sea Gals video we took. Logan slept or cried for most of the game, it had been a long day and he was tired. Hopefully the next game we go to the Seahawks will win.

Pumpkins,Animals and the Seahawks…

A few weeks ago we took our annual trip to The Farm to get our pumpkins. I wasn’t sure how much fun it would be since it was raining but we went anyway. When we got to the Farm there were Seahawks stuff, Blue Thunder and some Sea Gals, apparently we didn’t get the memo that it was the kids club fan day. We meet both Grandpa and Grandma Verver and Grandpa and Grandma Tucker there this year so it was extra special. First we went and picked out our pumpkins , one for Payton , one for Daddy ( to carve) and one for Logan.

On our way to the animals I noticed Three Sea Gals Taking pictures with some kids and I had to take Payton to meet them. She loves the Sea Gals, I think it was her favorite part of going to the Seahawks games last year.

Next we went and saw the animals and played on the tractor. Her favorite part was holding the kitten. She likes looking at the other animals but Loves the kittens and this year the tiny baby bunnies.

Before we left we bought some delicious honey crisp apples. We Love going to the farm every year and can’t wait for our next trip. Payton is already planning for it.

My Messy Moment - Tomato sauce explosion

As a mom of two life is filled with many kinds of messes. Today we were finger painting and there was paint on the floor, the wall , my daughters face, hair and clothes. I don’t mind these messes because she is having fun and using her creativity to make master pieces.

This past year we have had our share of messes, from potty training to feeding an infant we have a variety everyday. Spending time with friends and family can lead to fun and memorable moments, but also some very messy ones. One of the messiest moments I remember is when I was pregnant with my first child and I was getting ready for work one morning and went to grab something from the fridge to put in my lunch. As I pulled out the food I knocked a container of homemade tomato sauce. I watched it drop in slow motion, it hit the freezer door then bounced and flipped until it hit the floor splattering everything in it’s path including me. I was already running late but I had to clean it up. Sauce was all over the floor, the cabinets, the counter ( and anything on it) the fridge ( outside and inside), the wall , me and my shoes.  My kitchen now looked like a crime scene from a TV show. Why do the messiest moments seem to occur at the worst moment or when you don’t have the proper tools to clean them. I quickly grabbed the broken container and put it in the sink so the rest of the sauce ( which wasn’t much) wouldn’t end up in the floor too. Then cleaned up what I could and  changed my clothes before going to work . When I got to work I realized I had tomato sauce in my hair and cleaned it up the best I could (I knew if I didn't my  pre-k students would ask questions). I think I  found spots of tomato sauce for the next few weeks and now looking back I can laugh at the craziness.

One of my little mess makers!012

My life now contains all types of messes and that’s all right and maybe this big sauce explosion helped prepare me for what was to come and remind me that it will all be ok. Since then there have been messes of all kinds: blow outs in the car while we were on vacation or the time my daughter dumped baking soda all over the floor  and even the horrible flu of April 2011 when we were all sick ( not a pretty sight) . I am so glad I can use Clorox to help clean up even the messiest of situations that come my way.

I received information about Clorox’s Bleach It Away campaign and am sharing my messy moment for the chance to win prizes from The SITS Girls. To learn more about the messy moment program, check out www.BleachItAway.com. Sharing your story on the Clorox fan page gets you entered for the chance to win $25,000 and daily prizes, and you can grab a coupon for Clorox® Regular Bleach.

Fall is here!

202
The past few days have been beautiful and we have been able to get out side and enjoy the nice weather. I love the beautiful colors of the leaves on the trees in our neighborhood. Payton has always loved collecting leaves and I love that she sees the beauty around her and appreciates it. She has been collecting leaves in the wheelbarrow and it is fun to see all the different colors she has collect.
021
I also love taking walks even when it is drizzling outside. It is peaceful and the trees are changing their wardrobe to something a little bit different. It makes those gloomy days not so gloomy.
008
With this changing season comes the trip to the pumpkin patch, football games, time with family and snuggling up with a good book and some Chi tea.
Payton’s Giant pumpkin didn’t meet it’s full potential of 200- 300 Lbs. – probably a blessing it didn’t since it would have taken over the backyard. It put forth a good effort with the crummy summer we had and it is a big pumpkin and she is proud of it. She also grew a mini pumpkin which was perfect and so cute! This weekend we will go to the pumpkin patch to get some pumpkins for the front porch.

Many first will soon come for Logan – his most recent achievement is crawling. Baby boy is quick and he will snatch what he can when you aren’t looking. If it is food of any kind you better watch it or he will be slobbering all over it.

What a big boy you are!

We hope  you are enjoying making some new memories with your families. What do you love to do in the Fall?  We will continue to collect as many leaves as possible and enjoy each others company. Happy Fall!

What’s for dinner

A few weeks ago when Logan turned six months old started eating solid food. We threw a little party since this boy had been waiting for this day. After stealing French fries , trying to swipe burgers and other food it was finally his turn and well he liked it ! He has had sweet potato, pears, peas and I can say there is not a food he doesn’t like..so far.  He loves eating and can’t wait for his next meal. He sits in the high chair and kicks his legs he is so happy!

Oh how you have grown

I heard someone mention that they took a picture of their little girl every month in the same chair to show how they have changed and grown. Of course by the time I heard about this idea Logan was about 3 months old so I missed doing it the first few months but I do have him in Payton's little chairs so I will use that the first few months.

Baking for a cause

In August we spent a week getting ready for our garage/bake sale ,it was a busy week of load stuff for the garage sale and baking cookies. We had friends, grandmas ,great grandmas and even a few people we didn’t know bake for our bake sale. I truly appreciated the help since it would have been a lot to bake so many kinds of goodies. We had brownies, three different kinds of cookies, muffins and Rice Krispy treats to buy with all the money going to the Ben Towne foundation.  There were some people who just donated money which was great too. In the end we made 50.00 for the Ben Towne Foundation which isn’t to bad for a one day bake sale.Payton stayed outside for a little while and then Logan helped sell the goodies. They did great for a 3 1/2 year old and a 4 1/2 month old. I am so proud of the work they did and that they are learning to help others.360
