This weekend was a busy one and was jam pack with fun times. Friday we went to a new park we discovered after an interview I had and Payton was dying to go back.So after asking over and over we finally decided to go to Brier Park. She wanted to go down the high slide that she finally got brave enough to try. She showed daddy that she can do it and then wanted to swing. Logan had fun swinging too.
Then we decided to drive up to see the tulips at Tulip Town since it was such a beautiful day. When we got there it was a little cloudy and windy and when the wind hit you it was icy cold. It blew hair in faces and dirt in eyes and made babies cry but we survived all for the tulips. Payton love the red tulips her favorite color of the moment and she was obsessed with the tulip tractor trolley rides they do. So after we walked the tulips and took some pictures we rode on the Tulip tractor trolley she was so excited and loved it, Logan on the other hand did not and half way through started crying .
After the tulips we ate at the Skagit River Brewery and restaurant for some yummy food. Payton had fun pretending to play the old piano outside. The food was good but they didn’t have mac and cheese for kids but they had dino chicken nuggets. It seems like they could add mac and cheese for kids and not just the fancy kind for adults. It was also fun to watch the train go by since it is right next to the train tracks.
Yesterday we walked from UPC to see the Cherry blossom trees at the University of Washington. There were tons of people, and photographers taking pictures but the trees were near the end of their blooms and not looking so pretty. Next year we will have to go earlier. We did find the tree that Payton sat in when we did her 18 month pictures, it was fun to see her in the tree again.
Payton had fun going up and down stairs and climbing all around the campus. We ended our trip near the fountain which both kids loved. I would have love to have had more time and gone back to the cherry blossoms and one other place we went to when we had our pictures done there , I think Payton would have loved it. I guess that means we will have to go back some time soon.

Bunny Bounce
Saturday Morning before Easter we headed to Woodland Park Zoo for the Bunny Bounce. This is the fourth year we have gone and it is so much fun. We love seeing the animals and also have fun at the egg hunts and other activities.Logan checked out the map and walked with Grandma V while we waited to go in to the zoo.
More waiting for the egg hunt once we got in but it is worth the wait. She had a lot of fun and was sad at the end when she didn’t get a red egg.
The camera man from King 5 was watching her when she picked up these eggs but she didn’t make the news that night.
Logan wasn’t as interested in the eggs so much as he was at trying to eat them.
Payton was SO excited to see the Easter Bunny, you would have thought it was her long lost friend.
Logan liked watching the fish, and didn’t care about the sleeping bears
Checking out the African hut and testing out the beds.
After the zoo we headed to Red Mill Burgers for some yummy burgers and shakes. The was a line and we were lucky enough to find a spot to sit down.

It was another successful Bunny Bounce, fun was had by everyone who came and the food afterwards always make it worth it.
