Trains trains and more trains!

One Sunday in December University Presbyterian Church has a yummy food and people can set up their model trains. It is fun to see all the different set ups and trains and the kids love it. Payton was Logan's age for the first one and I love that they both get to share it with my dad who loves trains..  This year the Neighborhood party they had the day before was a Narnia theme with a wardrobe you could walk through into Narnia with snow and trees and the characters. It was fun to see what Narnia would have been like and there was a Santa – Payton said “I didn’t know Santa went to Church here!”20121216-01720121216-02120121216-02220121216-02520121216-02820121216-03220121216-03320121216-03520121216-03820121216-04120121216-04220121216-04820121216-050
So many fun trains to see, Logan was pretty good and  didn’t grab any trains. He did like to get really close to them and was excited about them. He was also making train sounds, it was pretty cute.I also liked that there were some Thomas and Lego trains that were ok to touch which is nice for the kids who come and can’t touch all the other trains. Can’t wait to see what the theme is for Next year’s party and what different kinds of trains will be there.

Lights of Christmas

One of our favorite places to go at Christmas time is to the Lights of Christmas at Warm Beach. It has a lot of fun things to do , like Payton’s favorite the “pony rides” ( really who are they kidding they are horses – Payton's was the biggest one)20121215-09220121215-09520121215-099Then there is Bruce the Spruce the talking Christmas tree and the kids thought he was funny . On the ride home Payton was wondering were he slept, she thought maybe with a sleeping bag and a cozy pillow.20121215-12520121215-12720121215-13220121215-134There is also a little train that you can take a ride in and Logan loved seeing the train come around as we waited in line.
20121215-137Then there are the famous donuts they make on site , last year we didn’t get them because the line was long but this year we enjoyed the warm donuts – they were oh so good. After eating our donuts and enjoying some music we walked around and enjoyed the lights.20121215-14420121215-14720121215-15520121215-16620121215-16820121215-16920121215-17020121215-17120121215-179Choo choo20121215-18020121215-18320121215-18620121215-18720121215-19620121215-20220121215-220 Visiting the Nativity – sweet baby Jesus20121215-21020121215-21320121215-21520121215-21720121215-22420121215-22820121215-23020121215-241

Curly the camel without his friend Moe

The past few years we have gone to help feel Curly the camel his miniature Donkey friend Moe and two reindeer. This year Moe went to Hawaii so Curly was by himself next to the reindeer. Logan really like Dasher and Blitzen and couldn’t get enough of them. He wasn’t so sure about Curly the camel. Payton on the other hand loved them all and got to feed both. She did tell us that Curly needs to brush his teeth because they are very dirty.20121208-00720121208-01920121208-02520121208-02620121208-03620121208-04320121208-04420121208-05320121208-05620121208-06420121208-07020121208-083After feeding the animals and a few pictures in the sleigh we went inside to see the trains and Logan was very excited about that !20121208-09020121208-10820121208-11320121208-11720121208-11920121208-12720121208-129After all the fun we head down to Starbucks off the QFC where Kevin used to work and have some goodies and relax. Payton was pretending to make things and bring them to us. She loved making hot chocolate soup. Logan took my cup when I was finished and drank the last few drips of my chai and said MMMM.20121208-14020121208-25420121208-256
